From the 25th of April to the 12th of January 2020 “Dialogue in Sutri”: eleven great masters of the art on display.
In the ancient rooms of Doebbing Palace, since the 25th of April, the new “Dialogue in Sutri” exhibition season has taken place. The works of eleven timeless great masters, placed in a dialogue that represents the continuity of art, are on display: Tiziano, Scipione Pulzone, Henri Rousseau, Antonio Ligabue, Fausto Pirandello, Ottone Rosai, Francis Bacon, Renato Guttuso, Ernesto Lamagna, Luca Crocicchi and Carlos Solito.
The project by Vittorio Sgarbi, combines sacred art with secular art, and masters of classicism with modern artists.
In fact, it is possible to admire the treasures of the ancient Sutri in the permanent section dedicated to ancient and sacred art, above all the Efebo from the first century AD, witness to the millennial identity of Sutri. You can also admire a precious selection of artworks from the buildings of the Diocese of Civita Castellana, with masterpieces by artists such as Antoniazzo Romano, Sano di Pietro and Antonio da Viterbo.
